Betty Marie Petts

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Betty Marie (Melanson) Petts of Saint John, NB, which occurred on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was a daughter of the late Michael and Ann (Extell) Melanson. Betty was an avid bingo player she enjoyed music and crossword puzzles. She loved her family and children. She is survived by three sons: Wayne Bourgeois, Michael Petts Jr. and Steven Petts all of Saint John; two daughters: Margo Babineau of St. George and Tammy Mason of Moncton; two brothers: Michael Melanson Jr. of Saint John and Ronald Melanson of Musquash; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one son: Gary Bourgeois; one daughter: Sharon Lomax; one brother: Eddie Melanson and two sisters: Theresa Belding and Clara Gray.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St, Saint John, NB (634-1964) where visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 12:10 PM.
